Where is Life?
It is by creating 1:20 orthogonal drawings where I demonstrated "life" inside a space that I went beyond a still, inert architectural drawing. The intensification process developed according to who the users were, how they lived and what they owned. The brief was about showing different types of lifestyle through detailed drawings. It is the number of detail, intensity, and density that made the section and plans beautiful in a visual sense but also beautiful in terms of narrative. By reading the details, it is possible to understand the lifestyle of people living in the unit as well as their preferences in terms of culture, ideology, and aesthetic; but also their economic and social status.
The use of plans and sections has different advantages, plans show how the space is organised and how people circulate within the space but the section reveals inner details of decoration only visible in elevation. It also helps the understanding of their physical look (posture, clothing...)
